Michel Verwoest appointed member ASR Executive Board

Summary

​Michel (M.H.) Verwoest (43) has been appointed member of the ASR Executive Board, thereby filling the existing vacancy for a new Board member as of 1 December 2012.

​Michel Verwoest will assume responsibility for the activities with regard to Pensions, Occupational Disability Insurance, Health Insurance, Real Estate Development, Real Estate Investment Management and the supporting services IT, Information and Project Management. He will also be chairman of the Non-Financial Risk Committee.

Michel Verwoest has been working for the ING Group where he has held various managerial positions since 1997. His last position was CEO of Nationale Nederlanden Services and director of 'Nationale Nederlanden Leven' (Life). In these positions he was also Executive Director Insurance ING Benelux and member of the Management Council of ING Insurance. Prior to that his position as CEO at ING included managing RVS as well as the 'Leven Particulieren' (Individual Life) business line.

The arrival of Michel Verwoest will complete the Executive Board again on 1 December, which will then consist of Chairman Jos Baeten, Roel Wijmenga (CFO), Karin Bergstein and Michel Verwoest.
