Karin Bergstein appointed as member to ASR’s Executive Board

Summary

Karin Bergstein (44) has been appointed as a member to ASR's Executive Board. Effective September 15, she succeeds Hans van der Knaap, who has stepped down from the Executive Board at his own request.

​Karin Bergstein will become responsible for the operational portfolio on the Executive Board with Non-Life, Life, Pensions, Occupational Disability Insurance, Health Insurance, Banking and IT as her areas of focus.

Karin Bergstein comes from ING, where she occupied various management positions since 1991. In her most recent position at ING she was a member of ING Bank Nederland's Executive Board. Before that she managed, among other things, ING Car Lease International as its CEO.

Hans van der Knaap has been a member of the Executive Board for the past eight years. Hans van der Knaap will continue to work for ASR. He is appointed CEO of ASR Bank.

Aside from Jos Baeten and Karin Bergstein, ASR's Executive Board includes Roel Wijmenga (CFO) and Roeland van Vledder (CCO).
