Akkie Lansberg appointed director of health insurance business

Akkie Lansberg will be appointed director of the a.s.r. health insurance business with effect from 1 September. Ms Lansberg will succeed Petra van Holst-Wormser, who has joined the Association of Dutch Health Insurers as its managing director.

Akkie Lansberg (45) has been with a.s.r. since 2014. She managed the team that was responsible for preparing the IPO. In her previous role, she served as Secretary to the Executive Board and Supervisory Board. Ms Lansberg has broad experience in the financial sector. Before serving as CEO of the Holland Financial Centre, she worked at the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and at Morgan Stanley in London.

Akkie Lansberg: ‘Leading a.s.r.’s health insurance business is a great new step in my career. I’m very much looking forward to this new challenge and can’t wait to take on my new role on 1 September.’

Michel Verwoest, member of the a.s.r. Executive Board: ‘Akkie Lansberg is the right person to take a.s.r.’s health insurance business to the next level. As a niche player in the health insurance market, a.s.r. aims to offer contemporary products and excellent service through labels such as De Amersfoortse and Ditzo. I’m confident that, with her experience and her focus on execution, Akkie will help a.s.r. achieve its ambitions.’

The Dutch Central Bank (DNB) has approved Ms Lansberg’s appointment.
